In the fall of 1969, Autauga Academy opened its doors for the first time in the old Pine Level School building with 136 students, and remained in this facility for one school term. In the fall of 1970, Autauga Academy opened at the present site on Golson Road with a new facility boasting grades 1-12. The thirty acre campus includes two main classroom buildings, a library, computer labs, a science lab, a multipurpose gymnasium, a cafeteria, two field houses, football, baseball and softball fields and two playground areas. The class of 1971 became the first class to graduate from Autauga Academy. Although Autauga Academy has witnessed many changes over the years, the traditions of academic excellence and Christian values have stood the test of time.
