Autauga Academy was established in 1969.  The Academy operates under the direction of Headmaster Mr. Gerald Carter, the Autauga County Private School Foundation, and its twelve-member Board of Directors.

The academic and extracurricular programs available at the Academy are designed to prepare students in grades K-three through twelve to continue their formal education beyond high school.  By expecting students to perform to the best of their ability, and by providing a safe, non-denominational Christian atmosphere, Autauga Academy ensures that each of its students possess the knowledge and character necessary to meet the challenges of being a productive citizen in today's society.

Located approximately five miles west of downtown Prattville, the thirty acre campus includes two main classroom buildings, a library with resources which include Internet access, two computer rooms, a multipurpose gymnasium, a cafeteria, two field houses, football, baseball and softball fields, and two playground areas.  Optional services provided by the Academy include before and after-school care for children in grades K-three through six.

Currently, the Academy employs an administrative staff of seven and a faculty of 19.  All faculty members are fully qualified, holding bachelor's, master's or doctorate degrees.  Each member of the faculty is dedicated to preparing students to meet the challenges of higher education, citizenship, and leadership.  Pupil-teacher ratios are limited to ensure individual attention, and a productive learning environment.

Autauga Academy's Parent Teacher Association (PTA) and Booster Club support all academic and athletic programs.  These very active organizations embody a rich tradition of family involvement in education at Autauga Academy.  Join us!
