Autauga Academy History

In the fall of 1969, Autauga Academy opened its doors for the first time in the old Pine Level School building with 136 students, and remained in this facility for one school term. In the fall of 1970, Autauga Academy opened at the present site with a new facility boasting grades 1-12. The class of 1971 became the first class to graduate from Autauga Academy. Through the years Autauga Academy has grown with new additions on campus to house administrative offices, a new computer lab and library facilities. Although Autauga Academy has witnessed many changes over the years, the traditions of academic excellence and Christian values have stood the test of time.
